(Ann Arbor, MI) – The Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced their player of the week honors Monday afternoon and Women's Track and Field athlete Lena Korte took home this week's honors for field events.  

Korte, a junior from Clinton, Michigan, finished first for the second straight week in the Shot Put at the Doug Hansen Invite at SVSU. In the event, Korte finished with a throw of 13.98 meters which once again hit an NAIA "A" standard. Korte would then go on to finish second in the Weight Throw after a toss of 13.64 meters. 

This is the third time Korte has won WHAC honors this season.

The Cardinals are back in action when they compete at the Wide Track Classic at Hillsdale College on Saturday, January 27.
