Abby Austin signs with Concordia Volleyball

(Ann Arbor, MI) Head Coach Danielle Cook and the Concordia University volleyball team have announced the addition of Abby Austin from Battle Creek, Michigan.

Abby will join Concordia from St. Philip High School where she played under the direction of Vicky Groat. Austin played setter for St. Philip where she was a four year starter and two year captain. In her senior campaign, Austin was named 1st Team All State and conference MVP while racking up 4,411 assists in her four years (7th in state).

Abby is the daughter of Jim and Stefany Austin and has one sibling; Jack. She plans to study Elementary Education while attending Concordia. "I am very excited to be playing volleyball in college and I couldn't have picked a better place," said Abby.

"We are excited for Abby to be a Cardinal volleyball player," said Head Coach Danielle Cook. "Abby is a smart setter that is confident and will help lead her teammates. We look forward to seeing Abby grow as a player and young woman."
