Football's Brooks and Maynard take home MSFA Player of the Week honors

(Ann Arbor, MI) - The Mid-States Football Association (MSFA) Mid-East announced the Player's of the Week for this past week's game and Concordia Cardinal's players Gavin Brooks (Offensive) and Chase Maynard (Defensive) took home the honors. 

 

Brooks, a junior from Livonia, Michigan, took home his fourth MSFA Player of the Week honor this week, and second of the season. In the 54-0 win against Judson, Brooks was 15-19 passing which included five touchdown passes. He also totaled 209 yards in the game, not throwing an interception. 

 

Maynard, a sophomore from Plain City, Ohio, earned the first Player of the Week honors in his career, following a stellar defensive game. The sophomore totaled 11 tackles on the day, including five solo tackles, two for a loss, and one sack, he also recorded a forced fumble on the sack. 

 

The Cardinals team is off this upcoming week, before going up against NCAA Division 2 foe Wayne State on September 30 with the game kicking off at 6 PM.
