Colby Kohmescher earns NCCAA Defensive Player of the Week

(Ann Arbor, MI) - The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) announced the Player's of the Week for this past week's game and Concordia Cardinal's Colby Kohmescher earned the defensive honors following the team's 24-23 win against NCAA Division II Wayne State.

Kohmescher, a senior from Linden, Michigan, earned honors this week after recording a career-high seven solo tackles and 11 total, which are his second-most. He also tacked on a pass breakup on the Warrior's final drive to halt any potential comeback.

This is Kohmescher's second Player of the Week honors after winning a Mid-States Football Association (MSFA) Mid-East honor last November.

Kohmescher joins Liam Karry, Seeger Degayner, Gavin Brooks, and Casey Rauch as players who have earned honors from the NCCAA this season.

The Cardinals will head back to the gridiron on Saturday, October 7 when they travel to Lawrence Tech for a 7 PM kickoff.
