Rauch earns MSFA and NCCAA Defensive Player of the Week; Robinson earns MSFA Special Teams Player of the Week

(Ann Arbor, MI) - The Mid-States Football Association (MSFA) and the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) announced their Players of the Week for this past week and the Cardinals saw two players earn honors.

Casey Rauch took home MSFA and NCCAA Defensive Player of the Week, while Dejai Robinson earned MSFA Special Teams Player of the Week.

Rauch, a senior from Alexandria, Kentucky, created two crucial turnovers last week in the game against Lawrence Tech as he also had three solo tackles and six assisted tackles. The turnovers he forced were both fumbles as he also recovered one of those as well.

Robinson, a freshman from Livonia, Michigan, took home his first MSFA honors after compiling six points against the Blue Devils. He made a 40-yard field goal for the first Cardinal points of the game, while also tacking on three point-afters as well. In the kickoff department, he had five kicks averaging 53.8 yards per kick.

For Rauch, this is the second time this year Rauch took home MSFA honors earlier this season and was for the fourth time in his career. This is also his third NCCAA honor as well.

The Cardinals are back in action on Saturday, October 14 when they return home to take on #6 Marian with a 1 PM kickoff.
