Men's Bowling takes home 4th place finish at Scotty Classic

(Toledo, OH) - The Men's Bowling team travel to Jackson, Michigan over the weekend to compete at the Scotty Classic last Saturday. The team would take home a fourth-place finish after hitting 7,156 total pins throughout the individual and baker games. 

 

CARDINALS RESULTS

Leaving the tournament as the individual winner was Jeffrey Lizewski. He would hit a total of 940 pins throughout the four individual games he would bowl while having a high game of 288. Brenden Gossman and Patrick Good ended the tournament finishing back-to-back with scores of 772 and 771 respectively. Alexander Bumpus wouldn't finish far behind with a score of 747.

 

Bowling in three of the four games was Conner Lackey with an average of 215 and a score of 645. The final game for the Cardinals was bowled by David Schaberg with a score of 161.  

 

ENTERING THE RECORD BOOKS

Lizewski's score of 940 enters the record books as the 6th highest score for a 4-game series. 

 

The team's series average of 1009 currently is tied for the 10th-highest score in program history.

 

TEAM WINNER

The team champion would be Spring Arbor University after hitting a total of 7,323 pins throughout the tournament. 

 

UP NEXT

The team will head to Indiana this upcoming weekend as they will take part in the Hoosier Classic on Saturday and Sunday, February 18 and 19. The competition will take place at the Western Bowl in Indianapolis, Indiana.
