Men's Bowling competes at the Hoosier Classic

(Indianapolis, IN) - The Men's Bowling team headed south to Indiana this last weekend to compete at the Hoosier Classic over the weekend. The team would take home a 15th-place finish after hitting 8841 total pins throughout the individual and baker games. 

 


CARDINALS RESULTS

Korey Reichard was the top finisher for the Cardinals at the event placing 61 of over 500 bowlers. Reichard finished the event with 1240 pins over the six individual games. Jeffrey Lizewski was not far behind Reichard with 1218 pins overall. 

 

Bowling in five games at the event was David Schaberg hitting 969 total pins and averaging 193.8 pins. Spencer Mosher was the next bowler also going five games with a 942 score and an average of 188.4. Two bowlers combined for the final 8 games, each bowling four games apiece, as Conner Lackey and Brenden Gossman hit 829 (207.3) and 803 (200.8) pins respectively. 

 


TEAM WINNER

Webber International took home the team championship on the weekend with a score of 9582 which was 70 pins better than second-place Wichita State. 

 

The individual winner was Alex Acosta from Saint Xavier University as he finished with a score of 1443 pins while averaging 240.5.

 


UP NEXT

The Bowling team will head to Indiana Tech for the second straight weekend to compete at the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Championships in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The championship will be on Saturday, February 25th.
