Men's lacrosse withdraws from NAIA National Invitational due to COVID-19

Ann Arbor, Mich. Due to COVID-19 protocols, the Concordia University Men's Lacrosse team has withdrawn from the 2021 NAIA Men's Lacrosse National Invitational. The decision was made with the health and safety of the student-athletes and staff as the primary concern.

The Cardinals were scheduled to make their first appearance at the national event after receiving an at-large bid on Sunday evening. The Cardinals finished the regular season ranked 7th in the NAIA coaches poll. The Cardinals fell to No. 2 Indiana Tech on Saturday in the WHAC Tournament Championship. The record-breaking season comes to an end for the Cardinals with a mark of 8-3 overall. Th Cardinals finished second in the conference standings with a record of 4-1 which was the best in program history.

The Cardinals were scheduled to play on Indiana Tech on May 6th in the opening round of the NAIA Men's Lacrosse National Invitational in Savannah, Georgia.
