Simmons and Harrison sweep WHAC Player of the Week honor's

(Ann Arbor, MI) - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced their weekly honors for Player of the Week and #5 Concordia Cardinals Men's Lacrosses' Andrew Simmons and Jeff Harrison swept the awards this week as they earned offensive and defensive Player of the Week respectively. 

 

 

Simmons, a junior from Waterford, Michigan, recorded a pair of goals in the team's close 10-9 loss to #4 Cumberlands last Wednesday. He did that with 6 shots on goals and 11 total shots. In addition, Simmons recorded 2 ground balls and forced 1 turnover in the game as well. 

 

 

Harrison, a senior from Dearborn, Michigan, led the defensive attack for the team last week. He forced a team-high 4 turnovers, 6th-most in a single CUAA game, as well as picking up 5 ground balls on the evening. 

 

For both of these players, these are the first WHAC Player of the Week honors they have earned in their careers. 

 

The Men's Lacrosse teams will be back in action when they open their 2024 home schedule with a match against NCAA Division III, Alma on Wednesday, February 21 with the game beginning at 1 PM.
