Men's Lacrosse overpowers Saint Mary 22-6

(Babson Park, FL) – #7 Concordia men's lacrosse played their second game in as many days when they squared off against Saint Mary at the neutral site of Webber International. The Cardinals dominated the game, outshooting Saint Mary 75-18 in a 22-6 victory.

 

Conor Kinsey played a complete game in net with 6 saves. The Cardinals opened scoring in the first minute when Jackson Brookes had an unassisted goal. Jack Foster converted off a feed from Ross Preston and Luke Beilhartz found the back of the net with William Reed assisting. Ryan Davis and Josh Dues scored later and CUAA led 5-1 after the first quarter.

After Saint Mary scored early in the second quarter, Luke Beilhartz notched his second marker with Ross Preston assisting. Ryan Davis tacked on his second goal on the powerplay and then completed his hat trick with a helper from Cooper Regimbal. The next goal came from Regimbal set up by Davis followed by back-to-back markers from Cross Papadelis. CUAA held an 11-4 advantage at halftime.

 

Luke Beilhartz finished his hat trick to open the third quarter. Jackson Brookes notched his second goal and Aldo Mejia-Hans scored with an assist from Ryan Davis. CUAA was up 14-5 after the third quarter.

Saint Mary opened the fourth quarter with a goal, but the Cardinals tacked on 8 more markers in the frame. Luke Beilhartz reached 5 goals on the day while Aldo Mejia-Hans finished his hat trick and William Reed scored his first. Cooper Regimbal and Jack Foster recorded their 2nd goals and Gavin Scally capped scoring with an unassisted marker. CUAA brought home a 22-6 win as time expired.

 

Concordia will play at #2 Webber International tomorrow at 1pm.
