Men's Lacrosse downed at #2 Webber International

(Babson Park, FL) - Concordia men's lacrosse continued their tough non-conference schedule with a contest at #2 Webber International. The Cardinals fought hard looking to overcome an early deficit, but the team fell 20-13.

 

Sam Bowling played the full game in net with 13 saves. Webber International controlled play in the first quarter and led 7-0 after the first frame.

The Cardinals broke the shutout in the second quarter with a goal by Cooper Regimbal. Evan Stuart tacked on a powerplay goal less than a minute later with Spencer Guppy assisting. Cooper Regimbal notched his second marker later in the quarter and Andrew Simmons also found the back of the net. Simmons tallied his second goal with 6 seconds remaining and CUAA trailed 12-5 at halftime.

 

Noah Sorenson recorded an unassisted marker in the third quarter. Concordia matched Webber International 11-11 in shots during the quarter but trailed 16-6 heading into the final period.

Evan Stuart scored in the first minute of the fourth quarter. Travis Wright notched 2 goals in a row to continue the run. The teams continued to trade markers with Ivan Progar getting on the board and Wright completing his hat trick. Spencer Guppy found the back of the net and Ivan Progar recorded his second goal in the final seconds. CUAA fell by a final score of 20-13.

 

Concordia will return home to host Midland on March 13th at 4pm.
