(Ann Arbor, MI) The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) announced their weekly player of the week recipients on Monday afternoon and Anna Roman was named the NCCAA Women's Soccer Student-Athlete of the Week.

Roman was terrific in the Cardinals' lone contest this week, recording a career high 10 saves in the team's 1-0 win over Albion College. The senior goalkeeper's shutout performance kept Concordia alive throughout the game, as she made three key saves across the overtime periods, including a clutch stop on an Albion breakaway in the 103rd minute.

Roman is the first Cardinal in the Women's Soccer program to be recognized by NCCAA this season.

The Cards will be back in action this week as they host Bethel at Cardinal Stadium on Wednesday, September 8th at 1pm.
