Men's Bowling takes home 1st at Scotty Classic

(Jackson, MI) Concordia Men's Bowling competed in Jackson once again on Saturday for the Scotty Classic. The Cardinals edged out Aquinas by 24 pins to take first place at the event with a total of 7666 pins.

 

Korey Reichard and Kyle Lewis led the way to a Cardinals victory with 10th and 11th place finishes, respectively. Reichard averaged 215.3 over his four games bowled, including a high of 256 in his first go around. Lewis averaged 213 during the classic, including a pair of 232 games to wrap up his four-game set. 

 

Brenden Gossman and Jeffrey Lizewski also bowled impressively for Concordia, each bowling in four games themselves. Gossman finished 16th with a 209 average and matched Reichard's high with a 256 in his first game as well. Lizewski finished in 34th place with a 195 average. 

 

Nicholas Clauson bowled three games and eclipsed the 200 pin average to provide 601 total pins on his personal score for the Cardinals. Izaac Goergen bowled in the first round of games for CUAA, recording a 193 score. 

 

Concordia Bowling will be back in action next Saturday and Sunday when they head to the Hoosier Classic in Indianapolis, IN.
