Men's Bowling places 14th at Hoosier Classic

(Indianapolis, IN) The Men's Bowling team returned to the lanes on Saturday and Sunday for the Hoosier Classic. The competition featured 78 teams and 528 bowlers on the men's side. Concordia finished at 14th in the team standings and were led by Korey Reichard individually.

 

Reichard landed in 13th place overall with an average of 215.2 pins throughout his six games bowled. The junior also bowled the top score for the Cards with a 265 in game 2.

 

Three other Cardinals bowled in all six games including Kyle Lewis, Jeffrey Lizewski, and Brenden Gossman. Lewis bowled an average of 199.2 followed by Lizewski at 198 and Gossman at 191.5.

 

Alexander Bumpus averaged 201.3 pins per game through his three games bowled and Izaac Goergen with 167.5 through two. Patrick Good Jr. rounded out Concordia's efforts with a 168 in game 6.

 

Wichita State ended the baker portion of the day in the lead, and won the head to head tournament to secure the victory. It was the Shockers' Alec Keplinger who won the individual competition with a 224.2 average.  

 

The Cardinals will now enter post season play with the WHAC Tournament on Saturday. The event is being hosted by Indiana Tech in Fort Wayne.
