Men's Bowling places sixth at WHAC Championships

(Fort Wayne, IN) The Concordia men's bowling team entered postseason play on Saturday at the WHAC Championships hosted by Indiana Tech. The tournament consisted of five baker sets with the top four teams advancing to a head to head best of five baker tournament. The Cardinals finished sixth in the qualifying baker sets, just narrowly missing out on the bracket round.

The Cardinals opened up the day with what would end up being their second highest baker set of the day with a 773. That put the Cardinals in fourth place at the time, but their third baker set of 676 bumped them down the qualifying standings. Concordia bounced back in the fourth set with their highest score of the day at 818. The 818 was tied for the eight highest set rolled by any team out of the 50 sets played. The Cards scored a 730 in their final baker of the day, making their total 3726 pins. The Cardinals missed out on the bracket round by 266 pins.

Indiana Tech placed first in the qualifying round with a score of 4090 and would go on to win the tournament defeating Aquinas 3-1 and Lawrence Tech 3-0.
