Underwood earns her first WHAC Player of the Week

(Ann Arbor, MI) - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced the winners of the Player of the Week awards for the week of 2/19-2/25. Emilee Underwood, a freshman pitcher on the softball team, took home the weekly honor after tossing a no-hitter against St. Ambrose. 

 

Underwood, a freshman from Chelsea, Michigan, picked up a pair of wins over the weekend to move to 5-0 on the season. Over the 2 games, she allowed 3 hits, all coming against #RV Mount Mercy, with 1 earned run. She also only allowed 0.71 baserunners per inning over 14 innings, while striking out 8 batters. 

 

The Cardinals head south for spring break next week when they open up the trip with a doubleheader against Dakota Wesleyan on March 3 with the first game beginning at 6 PM.
