McAlinden earns WHAC Player of the Week

(Ann Arbor, MI) - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced the Player of the Week awards winners for the week of 3/04-3/10. The Cardinals Shannon McAlinden picks up her third career WHAC Player of the Week honor. 

 

McAlinden, a senior from Riverview, Michigan, recorded a team-high 17 hits on the week, with nine RBIs. In addition, she tallied a slugging percentage of .730, including eight doubles and a triple. She would also go three for three on stolen bases on the week. 

 

The Cardinals will have a week off before returning to play as their next game as the start of the WHAC season with their first game against Northwestern Ohio on March 23.
