(Ann Arbor, MI) - The Concordia Cardinals Women's Hockey team will begin their 2024-25 campaign as they take on the Miami (OH) Redhawks. The Cardinals open up the season with a pair of home games on Friday and Saturday. Head Coach Maria Barlow is in her seventh season leading the Cardinals.

2023 SEASON REVIEW
The Cardinals picked up their most wins in program history last season with 10 as they continue to improve. The season was highlighted with a win over #9 Indiana Tech at home, 5-2.
Makayla Steinmetz led the team offensively with 16 goals and 9 assists while Grace Dodgson also recorded 25 points with 12 goals and 13 assists. Mallory Collins was another Cardinal scoring double-digit goals with 11.
Rose Lennons and Eva Kingston each played 12 games in net for CUAA. Lennon allowed 2.82 goals per game played with 255 saves while Kingston led the team with 332 saves.
2024 SCHEDULE OUTLOOK
The Cardinals will not play another game until October 25 when they host Indiana Tech followed by traveling to Fort Wayne the next night.
In November, the Cardinals play six games with a pair of home and home series against Michigan-Dearborn (11/1 & 11/2) and Aquinas (11/15 & 11/16). The month will close out with a two-game road series at Lake Superior State.
December will feature a home-and-home series with Adrian on the 6th and 7th.
Eight games will take place in January with six of them being home. A road game against Indiana Tech starts the month before returning home on the 11th against Indiana Tech. That game is the start of a five-game homestand that includes games against Massachusetts (16th), Rhode Island (17th &18th), and Michigan (25th). They will then travel to Michigan on the 26th. The month closes out with a game against Grand Valley on the 31st.
The final month of play will see the Cards traveling to Grand Valley on the 1st followed by a home-and-home series to close out the season with Davenport. The Cardinals will travel to Grand Rapids on the 14th of February, before closing out the regular season on the 15th at home.
CONCORDIA PERSONNEL
Seniors & Grad Students: Sydney Schuyler is the sole grad student for the Cardinals and the seniors include Lauren Benoit, Molly Burks, Grace Dodgson, Nicole Koops, Sydney Orkisz, Emma Shore, and Makayla Steinmetz.
Juniors: Six juniors are on the team this season Mallory Collins, Skylar Croft, Melanie Foucha, Dakota Harmon, Sara Kaczmarek, and Julie McLaughlin are on the team.
Sophomores: Five sophomores return from last year's class with Azuray Kepler, Eva Kingston, Rose Lennon, Larissa Radziszewski, and Brooklyn Watkins back for their second year.
Newcomers: There are two newcomers to the team this year including Dylan Hubbard and Hannah McCarthy.
Head Coach Maria Barlow is joined by Rachel Grefke.
