(Canton, MI) - Concordia women's hockey hosted UM Dearborn on Friday night to start a weekend series.  The Cardinals found themselves up against a strong opponent and fell 7-0. 

 

Rose Lennon started in goal for CUAA, making 29 saves.  UM Dearborn struck first with two goals in the first period and led 2-0 after one period of play. 

 

UM Dearborn tacked on another goal in the second period.  The Cardinals had two powerplay chances, but the team trailed 3-0 after the second period. 

 

CUAA received a 5-on-3 powerplay opportunity at the start of the third period with Mallory Collins taking a shot on goal.  However, the Wolverines continued to extend their lead in the period.  Molly Burks came in to play goalie for the last 9:57 of the game, recording six saves.  CUAA fell 7-0 as time expired. 

 

Concordia will travel to UM Dearborn tomorrow, November 2nd, for a 3pm contest.
