Women's Hockey falls to #6 Warriors

(Canton, MI) - Concordia women's hockey was back in action tonight at home for the first time in close to a month. They welcomed the Warriors of Indiana Tech to town for the first game of a two game series this weekend. The Cardinals played tough against the #6 ranked team in the country, but in the end fell 4-0.

Rose Lennon played all 60 minutes in the game, and she compiled an impressive 43 saves against the Warriors 47 shots on goal. The Cardinals started off the game with a strong defensive front, and only gave up one power-play goal to the #6 Warriors in the first period.

The second period saw 20 saves from an impressive Lennon, as the Warrior attack came out of the locker room strong. Mallory Collins and Grace Dodgson had some good scoring chances in the period, but the Warror goalie came through with some solid saves. The third period saw a lot of back and forth at mid ice, and only a last minute goal from Indiana Tech made the game's final 4-0.

The Cardinals will be back in action tomorrow, October 26th, in Fort Wayne at 3:10pm!
