The Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference announced their 2020-21 women's soccer season awards on Saturday afternoon. Several Cardinals were honored for their success on and off the field.  Samantha Golchuk highlighted the Cardinals honors being named first team all-conference. Kendra Lewis and Danielle Bracken were named second team.

Golchuk's illustrious career will end as a two-time member of the WHAC first team honors. She also received second team all-conference after her sophomore campaign and was named to the newcomer team as a freshman. Golchuk has certainly earned the respect of fellow WHAC members as her numbers speak for themselves. Golchuk totaled 10 goals in only 11 games played this season which gives her 47 in her career. Despite the shortened senior season, Golchuk ranks second in career goals to former teammate Julia Palushaj. Golchuk totaled 22 points this season which also gives her 104 for her career and totaled 12 career game winners.

After being named to the WHAC newcomer team after her freshman campaign, Lewis was named second team all-conference in her sophomore season. Lewis' sophomore season will most notably be remembered for her game winning goals as she totaled four. Of her six total goals, four found the back of the net in clutch moments for the Cardinals.

Danielle Bracken anchored the Cardinals defense as the freshman standout made an immediate impact for the Cardinals. Bracken almost extended the Cardinals season as she scored the team's long goal against Cornerstone in the WHAC Quarterfinals. Bracken totaled 11 shots on the season with six coming on goal.

Seven Cardinals were named to the WHAC All-Academic Team for their work in the classroom and maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.25. Sophia Bell, Amay Ciszewski, Grace Dame, Samantha Golcuk, Allison Lentz, Mackenzie Rahn, and Sierra Tischer were named to the all-academic team.

Sophia Bell was also recognized as the team's WHAC Champion of Character. The senior captain was honored for her commitment to the five core values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.
