Korte earns NCCAA Field Athlete of the Week

(Ann Arbor, MI) – The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) announced their player of the week honors Monday afternoon and Women's Track and Field athlete Lena Korte took home this week's honors. 

 

Korte, a sophomore from Clinton, Michigan, set school records in two different events with marks of 13.21 meters (Shot Put) and 36.57 meters (Javelin). Korte has the top mark in the NCCAA in Shot Put and the Javelin throw is the second-best in the NCCAA. She also competed in the Hammer Throw and recorded a mark of 33.65 meters. Korte's Shot Put throw also hit an NAIA B Standard.

 

Korte and the Track and Field teams will be back in action this weekend as they will be competing at the Don Kleinow Invitational on Saturday, April 14.
