Track & Field's Korte competes on Day 2 of NAIA Track & Field Championships

(Marion, IN) – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Track and Field Championships completed Day 2 as Concordia Cardinals Women's Track and Field athlete Lena Korte competed in the Shot Put event. 

 

Korte, a sophomore from Clinton, Michigan, competed for the second time this season at the NAIA Championships as she also competed in the Indoor Championships back in March. Korte came into the meet as the 10th seed but was not able to find her footing in the circle as she placed 21st. Korte's top throw was 12.78 meters. 

 

The winner of the event was Maddie Ledbetter who won the event by almost a full meter with a throw of 15.47 meters on her final throw.
