Hirt competes at the final day of the NAIA Championships

(Marion, IN) – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Track and Field Championships rounded out the final day of the championships as Concordia Cardinals Women's Track and Field athlete Julia Hirt competed in the Discus event. 

 

Hirt, a sophomore from Hartland, Wisconsin, competed for her first time at an NAIA Championship this year after qualifying on what would have been her final throw of the season when she won an National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) two weekends ago. Hirt would finish the championships in 29th with a throw of 39.14 meters. 

 

The winner of the event was Princess Kara from Indiana Wesleyan who won the event by five and a half meters with a throw of 52.77 meters on her final throw. 

 

British Columbia took home the Women's Championships with a total of 104 points.
