Brett Kuhlman earns WHAC and NCCAA Offensive Player of the Week

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) and National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) announced their weekly awards on Monday afternoon and Brett Kuhlman was named the men's soccer offensive student-athlete of the week. Kuhlman's recognition comes off of the Cardinals spring opener victory over Indiana Wesleyan.

Brett scored the first two goals for the Cardinals in the 4-3 win over the Wildcats. Brett recorded his first goal with just under a minute into the game off a corner kick from Tanguy Flachez. Seven minutes later, Kuhlman netted a screamer from 20 yards out to beat the Wildcats' goalkeeper and give the Cardinals a 2-0 lead in the first 10 minutes of the game.

Kuhlman is the second Cardinal to win WHAC and NCCAA honors this season, as Ryan Webb received player of the week honors from the NCCAA, WHAC, and NAIA this fall.

The Cardinals will return to the pitch Wednesday, February 23rd when they will face off with Rochester University at Ultimate Soccer in Pontiac, Michigan.
