(Livonia, MI) – Concordia men's soccer continued their WHAC season with a road contest at Madonna. The Cardinals came in 3-7 overall (2-5 WHAC) while the Crusaders entered the game 5-3 overall (4-2 WHAC). Madonna managed to control play throughout the game and claimed a 6-0 win.
Ryan Webb started in goal for Concordia. Jordan Whitt took three early corner kicks and a shot on goal as the Cardinals looked to generate some offense. Christian Margilaj directed a header just high of the goal, but Madonna struck first in the 27th minute to take a 1-0 lead. The Crusaders added two more goals in the half and led 3-0 at halftime.
Madonna continued to stay on the attack on offense added 3 more goals in the 2nd half. Austin Corona had a shot blocked late in the half and Luke Neuhaus took a shot that went wide left as the Cardinals looked to break the shutout. However, Concordia fell by a final score of 6-0.
Concordia will play their next game at UM-Dearborn on Saturday, March 27 at 3pm.
