Sinclair named MSFA and NCCAA Offensive Player of the Week

The Mid-States Football Association Mideast League (MSFA) and National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) announced their weekly awards Monday afternoon and Omar Sinclair (SO/Norcross, GA) has been named the offensive player of the week. Sinclair recorded a career high 249 rushing yard and two touchdowns in the 34-10 victory of Taylor University.

Sinclair paced the Cardinals offensive attack efficiently rushing for 249 yards on only 15 attempts which was good enough for a 16 yards per carry average. This was a career high for Sinclair as he also used a 72 yard run to increase the average to setup the Cardinals first touchdown. Sinclair's run total was the third most in program history only behind Joe Conner who posted totals of 279 and 267.

This is the first time in Sinclair's short Cardinal career that he has received NCCAA and MSFA Offensive Player of the Week honors. Sinclair follows fellow teammates Clay Coltson (SR/Hastings, MI), Ryan Fish (JR/Allen Park, MI) (JR/Allen Park, MI) and Alex Hinojosa (JR/Allen Park, MI) (JR/Allen Park, MI) who have been recognized by the NCCAA for their efforts this season.

The Cardinals will use this week for rest and recover with a bye week. The Cardinals will begin prep for MSFA newcomer Lawrence Technological University on Saturday, November 9th with kickoff set for 1pm.
