(Kansas City, MO) The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 16 team 2019 Football Championship Series field. The #12 Cardinals have been selected for the third consecutive year and will face #4 Grand View on Saturday, November 23rd in Des Moines, Iowa.
The Cardinals secured the third at-large bid after going 8-2 overall and 4-2 in the competitive Mid-States Football Association Mideast League. The Cardinals only losses came in the competitive MSFA Mideast League to the likes of #2 Marian and #11 St. Francis (IN). Both the Knights and Cougars will also be joining the Cardinals in the NAIA Football Championships Series field.
This will be the first meeting between the Cardinals and Vikings. Grand View finished the regular season 11-0 and received an automatic bid as the Heart of America North Division Conference Champion.
