After resting and recovering over the bye week, Concordia football will travel to Lawrence Tech this Saturday for the first meeting in school history. The 6-2 Cardinals moved up to #14 during the bye week while unranked Lawrence Tech dropped to 1-7 after falling by 59-20 to Saint Francis. CUAA will look to pick up another MSFA Mideast divisional win to strengthen their resume for an at-large berth to the NAIA playoffs.

Lawrence Tech enters the contest 1-7 overall. The Blue Devils' lone win came in their second game of the season in a 34-14 victory over Wisconsin Lutheran. The Blue Devils are in their first year as a member of the competitive MSFA. The football program is in their second year of existence after playing an independent or club schedule last season. The Cardinals moved up one spot to #14 during the bye week. The MSFA Mideast division now features 5 ranked teams with Marian checking in at #2 and Saint Francis at #13. Siena Heights fell seven spots to #21 after losing 28-21 to now-#25 Indiana Wesleyan. MSFA Midwest leader Saint Xavier holds the #11 spot.
College Football 150
2019 is the 150th anniversary of collegiate football and the NAIA is taking part in this national celebration of all collegiate football programs. The CFB150 campaign will be promoted throughout the football season, with November 4th - 8th designated as "CFB150 Week". Concordia University and the Cardinal football program joins teams, fans, and organizations around the world in celebrating this special week and rich history of college football. The NAIA has made additional resources available to celebrate the week while also offering a glimpse of NAIA football history. The Cardinal football program has left it's mark within the rich NAIA history in recent years. The Cardinals have made back to back appearances in the NAIA Football Championships Series, have now appeared in a 27 straight NAIA coaches polls, and have had recent players named NAIA All-Americans.
