Men's Bowling places 6th and 4th at the American Heartland Tournaments

(Canton, MI) - The Concordia Cardinals Men's Bowling team traveled down the road for a pair of matches at the first and second American Heartland Tournaments of the year at the SuperBowl in Canton, Michigan. The Cardinals finished sixth in the first tournament and fourth in the second tournament. 

 

CUAA TOURNAMENT 1 RESULTS

The Cardinals bowled six games at the first event and knocked down a total of 6006 pins. 

 

David Schaberg was the top bowler for CUAA after totaling 1276 pins and scoring a high game of 255. Connor Rogus was not far behind with a score of 1255 and topped Schaberg with a high game of 257. Nicholas Schaberg was the final bowler to bowl all six games recorded 1159 pins and scored a high game of 224. 

 

Hunter Fletcher and Kenji London each totaled five games with scores of 1025 and 984 respectively. Tyler Koehn bowled the final two games with an average of 153.50 pins per game.

 

CUAA TOURNAMENT 1 JV RESULTS

The Cardinals JV team finished in 3rd place with a total of 5727 total pins.

 

6th - Kaden Salts - 1207 Pins, 223 High Game

12th - Clinton Harris III - 1179 Pins, 235 High Game

13th - Caleb Gard - 1164 Pins, 244 High Game

25th - David Smalls - 1076 Pins, 225 High Game

50th - Brandon Hiestand - 744 Pins, 247 High Game - 4 Games

73rd - Mason Hopkins - 357 Pins, 186 High Game - 2 Games

 

TOURNAMENT 1 WINNERS

Lawrence Tech took home the top team spot at the tournament after posting a score of 6533. 

 

Howard Hammond from Cleary University was the top bowler with a score of 1418 after bowling a 300 in the final game to take the top spot by 11 pins. 

 

CUAA TOURNAMENT 2 RESULTS

The Cardinals bowled a score of 5762 after four team games and 10 baker games to place fourth. 

 

Connor Rogus finished the second tournament of the weekend with an 840 score and a 259 high game. David Schaberg was next with a score of 785 and a 216 high game. 

 

Kaden Salts and Hunter Fletcher each bowled three games as Salts scored 551 and Fletcher a 519. Kenji London and Nicholas Schaberg bowled two games apiece with scores of 435 and 360 respectively. The final two bowlers were Conner Lackey and Tyler Koehn with scores of 183 and 160 respectively. 

 

CUAA TOURNAMENT 2 JV RESULTS

The JV team finished the second tournament of the weekend in ninth place after totaling 4963 pins.

 

3rd - Brandon Hiestand - 791 Pins, 236 High Game

22nd - Clinton Harris III - 696 Pins, 195 High Game

28th - Mason Hopkins - 653 Pins, 189 High Game

29th - Zachary Pedro - 636 Pins, 167 High Game

31st - David Smalls - 633 Pins, 172 High Game

 

TOURNAMENT 2 WINNERS

Lawrence Tech was also the top team at the second tournament as they totaled 5985 total pins. 

 

Andrew Clark from Cleary University grabbed the top individual spot with a score of 880.

The Cardinals will be at the second WHAC Jamboree of the season next Saturday, November 2nd at the Imperial Lanes in Clinton Township, Michigan.
