Men's Bowling places 17th at the Glenn Carlson

(Las Vegas, NV) – The Concordia Cardinals Men's Bowling team headed to Las Vegas, Nevada for their second to last event of 2024 for the Glenn Carlson Invitational at the South Pointe Hotel & Bowling Center. The event featured 8 team games followed by the top 8 being placed into bracket play. 

 

The Cardinals finished the tournament in 17th place as they narrowly missed out on bracket play as they scored 7,829 total pins, falling out of bracket play by 19 pins. 

 

CUAA RESULTS

Conner Rogus was the top bowler for CUAA after placing 52nd out of 498 total bowlers. Rogus tallied 1,591 pins with a 232 high-game. Hunter Fletcher and Kenji London finished two pins apart at 1,534 and 1,532 pins respectively. Fletcher's high game was 221 while London recorded a 209.

 

David Schaberg took the lanes for seven games with a 1,485 total score as he tallied a high game of 244. Another bowler to go seven games for the Cards was Tyler Koehn who tallied a score of 1,316 pins and a 224 high game. The final bowler was Nicholas Schaberg who tallied 371 pins in his pair of games with a high game of 235. 

 

JV RESULTS

The Cardinals ended the tournament in fifth place, missing out on bracket play 69 pins.

TOURNAMENT RESULTS

Wichita State took home the top team spot following the eight-team games with a score of 8,808. Webber International was the bracket-play champion.

 

Brandon Bonta from Wichita State was the Individual Champion as he recorded a score of 1,924.

The Cardinals are back in action today and tomorrow, Jan. 20-21, as they compete at the Collegiate Shootout in Las Vegas, Nevada.
