(Sterling Heights, MI) - The Concordia Cardinal Men's Bowling team continued play on Friday at the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Championship and carried over their strong play from Thursday.
The Cardinals would go 3-1 on the day as they totaled 4,899 pins throughout the 23 games bowled which was a 213 average.

ROUND 2
The Cardinals first round of the day saw them take on Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) opponent Lawrence Tech who earned the third seed and the bye on Thursday. The Cardinals and Blue Devils battled back and forth as CUAA took wins in the second, third, fifth and seventh games in order to advance in play. The seventh game was a 204-179 CUAA win.

The Cardinals squared off against the seventh-seed Marian Knights in Round 4. The two teams traded games to start off the match before the Knights caught fire to win the next three games and the series, 4-1.

After dropping the match to Marian, the Cardinals headed down to the second chance bracket to take on Kansas Wesleyan. CUAA, motivated to not drop out of the tournament, would go onto sweep KWU, 4-0 with the closest match being 12 pins.

ROUND 6
The Cardinals final game of the day saw them matchup against Milligan with an opportunity to make it to Championship Saturday. Milligan took the first game of the series 201-183, before catching fire with three straight scores above 237, including a 287. The Buffaloes would rally back to tie the series at three games apiece before CUAA earned a 214-185 win.
