(Sterling Heights, MI) - The Concordia Cardinal Men's Bowling team competed on Thursday for the first day of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Championship where they saw solid success. 

The Cardinals saw themselves in sixth-place following six baker sets that saw the Cardinals score 4995 pins with an average of 832.5 pins per set and 208 pins per game.

The Cardinals would take on the 11th-seeded Hastings in the first round of bracket play as they would be able to advance past Hastings in the best-of-7 series with four straight wins. The Cardinals won their games 218-175, 213-197, 235-181, and 216-181. The Cardinals will face #3 Lawrence Tech tomorrow at 8 AM.
