Women's Lacrosse falls in double-OT battle at Adrian
 
 

(Adrian, MI) – Concordia women's lacrosse played a non-conference game at Adrian on Monday afternoon.  The game featured multiple lead changes and went to double overtime, but the Bulldogs came away with a 15-14 win. 

 

Michaela Ullery played a complete game in goal, making 13 saves.  Adrian scored first, but Taylor Nesbitt tied the game after weaving through the defense.  The teams traded goals with Tara Drinane adding a marker and Nicole Bordo scoring on a 2-on-1 with Isabella Komarowski.  Komarowski knocked in a goal off a rebound to put CUAA up 4-2 after the 1st. 

Isabella Komarowski and Madisyn Fox tallied markers to put the Cardinals ahead 6-3 with 10:54 to play.  However, Adrian began to rally and tied the game 6-6 going into halftime. 

 

Adrian took the lead early in the 3rd, but Isabella Komarowski finished her hat trick to tie the game.  Nicole Bordo scored a pair of goals to complete her hat trick, but Adrian held an 11-9 lead after the 3rd. 

Madisyn Fox scored a powerplay goal in the 4th and Isabella Komarowski scored twice to give the Cardinals a 12-11 lead.  After Adrian retook the lead 14-12, Komarowski notched her 6th goal and Fox finished her hat trick to tie the match and force overtime. 

Neither team scored in the first overtime frame.  In the second OT, Adrian was able to convert and claim the win. 

 

Concordia will play at #3 Lawrence Tech this Wednesday at 5pm.
