Women’s Lacrosse taken down by #10 Aquinas

[Ann Arbor, MI] —   Concordia hosted the #10 Saints from Aquinas on Thursday afternoon. They were beaten by the final score of 23-6. Isabella Komarowski recorded a hat trick for the Cardinals, while three other goal scorers would contribute in the losing effort.

 

The Saints would start out the first quarter strong by scoring two goals in the first 10 minutes of the game and ending with two goals in the final four minutes. Taylor Armstrong would record Concordia's first goal of the game, and Komarowski would pick up her first goal of the game in the final minute of the frame.

 

The Cardinals would then be shut out in the second quarter, while Aquinas would score seven more goals to the score at halftime 11-2 in favor of the Saints.

 

The third quarter would see some resistance from Concordia, as Madisyn Fox (assisted by Taylor Nesbitt) and Taylor Nesbitt would score within five minutes of the quarter opening up. However, Aquinas would be too much to handle and would score six more goals to add to their total.

 

Komarowski would finish up her hat trick in the final period as the Saints pulled further away with six more goals to bring the final to 23-6.

 

Michaela Ullery (1-5) would pick the loss after saving 15 of 38 shots for the Cards. Kennedy Stilson (3-0) collected the win while saving 8 of 14 shots for the Saints.

 

The Cardinals next game will be on the road Saturday at 12 PM against the Madonna Crusaders. The match will be played at the Madonna Athletic Complex in Livonia, MI.
