Women's Lacrosse falls to Siena Heights

(Ann Arbor, MI) - Concordia took on Siena Heights at home Saturday afternoon. The final score would end up being 20-13. Taylor Armstrong and Taylor Nesbitt scored four goals each, while Isabella Komarowski scored three goals on the day. 

 

The first quarter featured 10 goals scored, six coming from Siena Heights. Taylor Armstrong would pick up her first two goals of the game, and Isabella Komarowski and Taylor Nesbitt each picked their first goals of the game as well. Each of the Cardinal's first-quarter goals was off free position shots.

 

Siena Heights would add seven more goals in the second quarter. Komarowski led Nesbitt to her second goal of the game. This was the first goal for the Cards that did not come from a free-position shot.

 

Armstrong and Nesbitt would each add goals of their own for Concordia as part of a four-goal quarter. Madisyn Fox and Katelynn Lawson also notched goals to help pull the Cardinals closer, but the Saints would tack on four more goals in the third quarter.

 

The final quarter would see Armstrong and Nesbitt pick up their fourth goals each and Komarowski would finish up her hat trick. The Saints would be led by Emily Pringle and her seven goals. Pringle would also record an assist and 16 draw controls.

 

Lucy Stedam (3-6) would collect seven saves on 20 shots in route to picking up the win. Rachel Costello (0-3) would only play the first half of the contest and recorded three saves on 16 shots. Michaela Ullery tallied one save in the second half of the games. 

 

The Cardinals will play their next game on Wednesday at 4:00 PM. The game will be back at Ferry Field at Cardinal Stadium.
