Concordia Volleyball signs Catie Schultz to 2021 recruiting class

(Ann Arbor, MI) Head Coach Danielle Cook and the Concordia University volleyball team have announced the addition of Catherine (Catie) Schultz from Waltz, Michigan.

 

Catie will join Concordia from Riverview Gabriel Richard Catholic High School where she played under the direction of Sarah Johnson. While at Gabriel Richard Schultz was the 2019 Team Offensive MVP, three-time All-State Academic Team, 2019 All-League, 2020 All-Catholic, as well as 2019 and 2020 All-Downriver Team. Schultz also played for MI Elite / Atomic.

 

High School coach Sarah Johnson is proud of the amazing student athlete Catie has grown into over the last four years. "Catie's maturity and leadership on and off the court will bring so much to the Concordia program. She will be missed at Gabriel Richard, but we look forward to watching God's plan for Catie over the next four years."

 

Catie is the daughter of Chris and Christy Schultz, and has one brother, Christopher. Christy is an alumnus of CUAA, class of 2005. Catie's parents are excited for her journey at CUAA. "We are so proud of the young woman Catie has become," said Chris and Chisty. "God has had His hand in choosing Concordia as her place to study, play volleyball, and grow."

 

"We are excited for Catie to join the CUAA volleyball family," said head coach Danielle Cook. "Catie works hard and we know she will push herself and her teammates to become better players on and off the court. We look forward to seeing Catie grow as a young woman and player these next four years!"
