Softball’s McAlinden named to the First-Team All-American for the NCCAA

(Ann Arbor, MI) - The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) announced their yearly awards at the National level and Shannon McAlinden was announced as a member of the First-Team All-American for the NCCAA. 

 

Shannon McAlinden, a sophomore from Riverview, Michigan, was one of the top hitters in the NCCAA as she would hit for a .446 average which was 12th best throughout the NCCAA. Her 70 hits on the season was fourth best in the league, while she hit six triples on the season as well to tie her for third. 

 

The NCCAA also announced their yearly scholar-athletes as five members were named to the team. Abbie Begley, Dee Campbell, Kate Elias, Cassidy Kane and Koryn Playford all hit the requirements of maintaining a 3.4 GPA.
