Paige Chapman Joins Women's Lacrosse Coaching Staff as Assistant Coach

Head Women's Lacrosse Coach Amanda Asher has announced the addition of Paige Chapman as the Cardinals Assistant Coach. Chapman began her duties September 1st.

Chapman was a two year starter at fellow NAIA institution, Georgetown College in Kentucky after beginning her collegiate career at Pikeville University. While at Georgetown, Chapman helped the Tigers to a consistent top 10 National ranking and multiple trips to the NAIA National Invitational tournament. Recently, Chapman has coached club lacrosse with Triumph Lacrosse.

Chapman joins the Cardinals' women's lacrosse program that has ranked in the top 10 in the NAIA National Poll each of the past two seasons. Last year, the Cardinals started 5-1 before the season was cut short. The Cardinals return all but two of their players from last season and have added several talented newcomers as well as they look to remain in the Top 10 and compete for a spot in the National Tournament again this season.

Coach Asher is familiar with Chapman, as she coached her during her time as Head Coach at Northville High School. During Asher's first season at Northville, Chapman was a Senior Defender and helped lead the team to 15-2 season and division championship. Coach Asher is thrilled to reunite with Chapman, stating, "I am happy to add Paige to our coaching staff. She brings a competitive spirit and high level playing experience to our program. Paige is passionate and knowledgeable about the game and will bring tremendous amount of value to our team. I look forward to working with Paige to continue to push our program higher."

Chapman is ready to get to work as a part of the Cardinals staff, stating, "I'm extremely excited to join Concordia's lacrosse team and to be alongside Coach Amanda Asher and an amazing group of women. I'm excited to be able to bring my knowledge of NAIA lacrosse to the field. I cannot wait to help the girls be able to achieve their goals on and off the field. I am very thankful for this position and opportunity, and can't wait to get started."
