Women's lacrosse ranked 8th in NAIA Coaches' Poll

NAIA Release

(Ann Arbor, MI) – After making some noise with their 5-1 record to start the season in 2020, the women's lacrosse team notches their fourth appearance in the NAIA Women's Lacrosse Coaches' Poll Top-10. The Cardinals have earned their highest ranking in program history at 8th in the nation in the latest poll that was released this past week. The Cardinals received 54 total votes in the poll which is the most they've received previously.

Coach Asher's team was ranked 10th in early March 2020 prior to all collegiate sports being shut down in response to the COVID-19 global pandemic. This was the result of the Cardinals outscoring their opponents 85-32 in their six games. The only blemish on their record came from a closely contested loss to Albion College.

Concordia has also been ranked at 9th in the nation for two consecutive weeks in 2019. This ranking marks the 9th consecutive polling that the Cardinals have either received votes or been ranked in the top-10. The Cardinals are set to faceoff against Georgetown in Kentucky on February 13th to open their 2021 campaign.
