Men's Bowling finishes in fourth at the final WHAC Jamboree

(Allen Park, MI) - The Concordia Cardinals Men's Bowling team headed back to the lanes for the first time in the month of February as they competed at the fourth and final Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Jamboree in Allen Park, Michigan on Saturday. 

 

The Cardinals bowled a 4,183 throughout the team games played before they added in the 16 baker games and finished with a score of 7,459 and a fourth-place finish overall. 

 

CARDINALS RESULTS

The Cardinals would see two players place in the top 10 as Kenji London and David Schaberg finished 9th and 10th with scores of 888 and 886 respectively. London recorded a high game of 229 and Schaberg a high game of 278. Taking home an 11th-place finish was Connor Rogus who ended the tournament with a score of 874 and a high game of 235. 

 

Two bowlers would bowl in four games for CUAA as Dylan Jablonski led the duo with a 210 average and a high game of 230. The other bowler who went four games was Alexander Bumpus with a 179.7 average and a high game of 189. 

 

The final two bowlers for CUAA were Jeffrey Lizewski and Spencer Mosher who bowled games of 187 and 179 respectively. 

 

JV CARDINALS RESULTS

The Cardinals JV team would also finish in fourth place after totaling 6,815 pins.

RECORD BOOKS

The team series score of 1045.8 is now the fifth-highest in program history. 

 

TEAM AND INDIVIDUAL WINNER

The individual winner for the tournament was Michael Weber from Lawrence Tech who recorded a 974 on the day. 

 

Lawrence Tech would also take home the team championship after winning by over 300 pins with a total score of 7,853. 

 

UP NEXT

The Cardinals will next head to the Hoosier Classic at the Western Bowl in Indianapolis, Indiana on February 10 and 11.
