Men's Bowling completes play at the Hoosier Classic

(Indianapolis, IN) - The Concordia Cardinals Men's Bowling team traveled to Indiana for their final regular season competition of the 2023-24 season at the Hoosier Classic at the Western Bowl. The Cardinals finished the first day of the tournament in 40th place before being able to move up 5 spots for a 35th-place finish with a total of 8,374 pins.  

 

CARDINALS RESULTS

Dylan Jablonksi was the top finished for the Cards in the tournament with a 38th-place finish as he totaled 1,268 pins and recorded a high game of 279. Next up was Connor Rogus who ended with a score of 1,131 pins and a high game of 243. Kenji London followed up Rogus with 1,086 pins and scored a 215 high. 

 

Bowling in 5 games for the Cards David Schaberg as he ended with an average of 188 and a high game of 244. Bowling in 4 games was Alexander Bumpus with a 176.8 average and a 202 game. The final CUAA bowler was Hunter Fletcher as he would go 3 games averaging 189.7 and a 211 high game.  

 

TEAM AND INDIVIDUAL WINNER

Nolan Blessing from Marian University took home the individual title after knocking down a total of 1,446 pins and scoring a 299-high game. 

 

Before the bracket play Mount Mercy claimed the top spot in the final round after hitting 9,451 pins. Lawrence Tech though would claim the tournament title after making their way through the bracket. 

 

UP NEXT

The Cardinals will next head to the Royal Scot Golf and Bowl in Lansing, Michigan to compete for the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Championship meet next Saturday, February 17 as they will play for a chance for an automatic bid to the National Championships.
