Men's Bowling places second at WHAC Jamboree #2

(Comstock Park, MI) - The Concordia Cardinals Men's Bowling team rounded out the opening weekend of Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic (WHAC) play with the second WHAC Jamboree. The event would take place at the Westgate Bowl in Comstock Park, Michigan for the second straight day. CUAA walked away in second place with a score of 7699 pins. The Cardinals receive 19 points towards the regular season WHAC Championship. 

 

CARDINALS RESULTS

Two Cardinals bowled the full four games on the day as they were led by Spencer Mosher who placed 11th and he would hit a total of 887 pins while having a high game of 234. The only other four-game Cardinal was Jeffrey Lizewski as he knocked down a total of 850 pins and scored a high game of 257. 

 

Conner Rogus would go three games for the Cardinals as he averaged 221 pins per game and recorded a high game of 247. Alexander Bumpus would go another three games for CUAA with a high game of 216, he averaged 199.7 pins per game. 

 

David Schaberg would be the highest of three Cardinal bowlers who would each go two games apiece. Schaberg recorded a high game of 253 and averaged 237.5 pins per game. The final two bowlers for the team were Patrick Good Jr. (225 High Game, 208 Average) and Dylan Jablonski (194, 179.5)

Two Cardinal teams competed at the second WHAC Jamboree as the first would place fourth with 6760 total pins, while the second placed 10th as they knocked down a total of 6332 pins.

RECORD BOOKS

The Cardinals team series average of 1062.3 is the fourth highest in program history. 

 

TEAM AND INDIVIDUAL WINNER

Indiana Tech came away as the champion for the event today, as they would total 7738 pins, which was 39 more than the Cardinals. 

 

Brandon Haney from Indiana Tech would also walk away as the champion after hitting 988 pins in his four team games. 

 

UP NEXT

The Cardinals are back in action in two weeks when they compete at the NAIA Invite in Joliet, Illinois on Saturday and Sunday, November 18 and 19.
