(Lansing, MI) - The Concordia Cardinals Men's Bowling team competed at the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) tournament on Saturday. Following the baker games bowled the Cardinals would be on the outside of the bracket-play.
BAKER PLAY
The first round of the tournament featured all the teams playing 12 baker games, before splitting off into a 4-team bracket. The Cardinals finished the round in ninth place after knocking down 2,102 total pins.
WHAC HONORS
Earlier this week the conference announced the All-Conference honors for Men's Bowling and several Cardinals picked up honors. Freshman Conner Rogus was named the WHAC Newcomer of the Year as well as being named to the All-Conference Second Team. In addition, David Schaberg was also named to the All-Conference Second Team.
In addition to his previous award, Rogus was also named to the Champions of Character Team. The freshman was honored for his commitment to the five core values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.
The WHAC announced their All-Academic teams, which involve being a sophomore in Academic standing and having a cumulative GPA of 3.25. Two Cardinals were named to the team with Jeffrey Lizewski and Patrick Good Jr. being honored.
