Men's Bowling finishes 5th at Third WHAC Jamboree

(Jackson, MI) - The Concordia Cardinals Men's Bowling team hosted the third Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Jamboree of the season at the Jax 60 in Jackson, Michigan. The Cardinals finished the tournament fifth overall after knocking down 7,253 total pins. The Cardinals now have the fourth-most points at 40 for the WHAC Regular Season title with one Jamboree left to play. 

 

CARDINALS RESULTS

Conner Rogus was the top Cardinal as he finished in 8th place knocking down 882 pins. Patrick Good was next up for CUAA with a total score of 861 pins and a 17th-place finish. Jeffrey Lizewski was the final Concordia bowling the full four games as he hit 782 pins. 

 

Bowling in three games was David Schaberg as he averaged 217.3 with a high game of 234. Another three games were bowled by Alexander Bumpus as he would average 185.3 with a 202-high game. The final two games would be bowled by Spencer Mosher with an average of 175 and a high of 182.

The JV team finished in second place after hitting a total of 7147 pins.

RECORD BOOKS

The Cardinals as a team would have a team series average of 1020.8 which is the 8th-highest in program history. 

 

TEAM AND INDIVIDUAL WINNER

Indiana Tech took home the first-place finish after they hit 7,534 pins for the tournament. 

 

Brandon Haney from Indiana Tech would take home a first-place finish as he hit 914 total pins. 

 

UP NEXT

The Cardinals will head out west to Las Vegas, Nevada as they will compete at the Glenn Carlson Invitational (December 18-19) and the Collegiate Shootout (December 20-21) as which will round out play for 2023.
