NAIA CHAMPIONSHIP DAY 1 RECAP: Men's Bowling falls in St. Francis in Round 1, Will compete tomorrow morning

(Sterling Heights, MI) - With the first day of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) National Championships finished up, the Concordia Cardinals Men's Bowling team saw themselves in ninth place following the 24 baker games.

BAKER PLAY

The Cardinals rounded out the six sets of baker play in ninth place with a total of 4,724 total pins as they averaged 196.83 pins per game.

BRACKET PLAY

Heading into bracket play in the afternoon saw the Cardinals matched up against St. Francis (IL) in the first round. The Cardinals and Fighting Saints battled closely the first two sets of games with CUAA winning 197-183 and then both teams tying at 214 respectively. SFU would then go on to win the next four games to advance to Round 2.

DAY 2 PREVIEW

The Cardinals moved into the second-chance bracket after falling to St. Francis and will take on the loser of Match 8 between #2 Marian and #7 SCAD. The match will begin at 10 AM.
