(Ann Arbor, MI) - Concordia volleyball had their second game in as many days today in the Cardinal Fieldhouse. They welcomed the Wolverines of Michigan Dearborn to town and fought hard, but eventually lost 3-0 on the day.
Claudia Grepke, Megan Neumann, and Jessalyn Peavyhouse combined for 17 kills on the day.
Set One: CUAA 20; UMD 25
Emma Leinberger led the way in the first set with five digs and five assists. The back-and-forth battle took a shift the Wolverines' way late in the set, and the Cardinals were unable to come back.
Set Two: CUAA 15; UMD 25
The Wolverines were able to gain a lead halfway through the second set and did not look back. The Cardinals' Peavyhouse had three kills in this set and Emiline Wood added three assists.
Set Three: CUAA 21; UMD 25
Set three was the closest of the day, and the Cardinals came up just short of that late-match magic that they were able to provide in last night's game against Madonna. Breann June added five digs and Leinberger tacked on five more assists. In the end, the Wolverines were able to finish today's game in straight sets versus your Cardinals.
CUAA is back in action on Friday the 20th in Southfield, MI taking on the Blue Devils of Lawrence Tech!
