Concordia Volleyball falls to Indiana Tech in final regular season home game

(Ann Arbor, MI) – The Concordia volleyball team faced off against the #RV Indiana Tech Warriors on Wednesday evening in their final regular season home game in program history, falling in three sets. Indiana Tech demonstrated a solid offensive performance, winning 25-14, 25-17, and 25-16. CUAA drops to 11-17 overall while 6-11 in WHAC play.

 

Senior Breann June led the Cardinals with nine kills and ten points, while Claudia Grepke contributed six and seven. Emma Leinberger facilitated the offense with 12 assists and recorded one ace, while Emiline Wood led the team defensively with 22 digs.

 

SET ONE: Indiana Tech 25, Concordia 14
The Warriors took control early, with a high hitting percentage of .405, showcasing efficient attacks. Breann June and Claudia Grepke contributed early kills, but Indiana Tech's offensive power proved challenging to contain.

 

SET TWO: Indiana Tech 25, Concordia 17
Concordia kept it close in set two, with notable kills by Megan Neumann and strong blocking from Jessalyn Peavyhouse and Merin Merkle. Indiana Tech's hitters maintained pressure, edging out Concordia with a .286 hitting percentage.

 

SET THREE: Indiana Tech 25, Concordia 16
Concordia showed resilience early in the final set with a quick start from Grepke and June. Despite the Cardinals' effort, Indiana Tech maintained their momentum, ultimately closing the set and match.

 

Concordia will close out its season on the road against Lourdes at Russell J. Ebeid Recreation on November 8th. The game will begin at 7:00 PM.
