Poe earns WHAC Player of the Week

(Ann Arbor, MI) - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced their weekly Player of the Week winners for softball. Concordia Cardinals Madison Poe was awarded the honors following the second half of their Spring Break trip as they finished out the week going 

 

Poe, a freshman from Riverview, Michigan, was one of the top hitters on the week for the team grabbing 11 hits with a .550 batting average over seven games. Poe also tallied five runs, two doubles, and three stolen bases. She recorded the second most RBIs on the team with eight. 

 

This is the first time Poe has been named as WHAC player of the week in her young Cardinal career. She joins Koryn Playford as a WHAC honoree this season while also joining Paige Anderson and Shannon McAlinden who also earned NCCAA honors this season. 

 

The Cardinals will be back in action as they open up WHAC play with two doubleheaders this weekend going up against Aquinas on Saturday, March 25 in Grand Rapids and their home opener on Sunday, March 26 against Siena Heights.
