Softball eliminated by Madonna in WHAC Championship

(Sylvania, OH) – Concordia softball competed in the championship series of the WHAC Tournament on Friday against Madonna.  The Cardinals played a close game, but the Crusaders came away with a 2-0 win. 

 

Paige Anderson pitched a complete game with 3 strikeouts.  In the 3rd, Madonna took a 2-0 lead. 

Bella Lee and Koryn Playford drew lead-off walks in the 3rd and 4th, but the offense was unable to capitalize.  Madonna completed a no-hitter to clinch the 2-0 win and the WHAC championship. 

 

Concordia will now await a potential bid to postseason play in the NCCAA.
